Cherry Opo hails from NYC and was formed in 2021 and is an offshoot of the nationally recognized band SisterMonk. Their music describes raw reality reinvented by fantasy: real heartbreak, real rapture,  real society, real fantasy life. They play a new sound with a delivery and edge reminiscent of 70;s punk and disco that  brings a style that is uniquely modern: evolved from the band members’ taste for Rock, New Wave, World, Funk and Jazz.

As a 3-piece, the band relies on rich vocal harmonies, syncopated rhythms, melodic bass grooves and a fiery attack to create a big riveting sound.
