Ratface Macdougall IPA
Rat Face MacDougall is a bold 8.3% Double IPA and a tribute to the wild, untamed spirit of the Catskills’ flyfishing culture. Named after one of the legendary Rat Face MacDougall flies, this ale is built to handle anything a day on the water can throw at it — resilient, adventurous, and designed for a good time all day long.
Brewed with our house ale yeast and a blend of distinctive hops, Rat Face MacDougall showcases Motueka from New Zealand, adding tropical fruit character and a hint of spice, alongside Mackinac from Michigan, which brings notes of melon, papaya, and citrus fruit. Pouring a deep amber-red with a thick, frothy off-white head, it releases aromas of toasted caramel, tropical fruit, and subtle piney resin, enticing the senses before the first sip.
On the palate, this full-bodied Double IPA delivers rich malt sweetness balanced by firm bitterness and vibrant hop character — a beer as satisfying as landing a trophy trout. Perfect for a day on the river, a hike in the Catskills, or sharing stories with friends, Rat Face MacDougall is robust, adventurous, and unmistakably memorable.
